108 Maoists Carrying ₹3.29 Crore Bounty Surrender in Jagdalpur; 44 Women Among Them Raipur, March 11, 2026// Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai described the ongoing campaign against Maoist violence in the Bastar region as a major success, saying that in Bastar today trust is beginning to prevail over violence. Referring to the surrender of 108 armed Maoist cadres carrying bounties worth ₹3.29 crore in Jagdalpur, he said the decision to leave violence and return to the mainstream reflects the positive transformation underway in the region towards peace, good governance and development. Chief Minister noted that 44 women cadres were among those who surrendered, describing it as a significant sign of growing confidence among people in the region to move forward on the path of peace and development. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that due to the state government’s rehabilitation policy, coordinated action by security forces and the accelerated pace of development in Bastar, many Maoists are abandoning the path of violence and joining the mainstream of society. As a result, he said, the atmosphere of peace in Bastar is growing stronger and positive changes are becoming visible in the lives of common people. He appreciated the courage of the security forces, the dedicated efforts of the administration and the cooperation of local residents in making this achievement possible. Chief Minister said the people of Bastar now aspire to move forward towards development and prosperity, free from fear and violence. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, decisive action is being taken against Left-wing extremism. Chhattisgarh government, he added, is working in close coordination with the Centre to move firmly towards the complete eradication of Maoism.
