Hailing from Bahadurpur town in Ashoknagar district, his journey from a modest middle-class background to the higher echelons of governance is both inspiring and noteworthy. He first came into prominence by securing fifth rank in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission examination with an impressive 916.25 marks, leading to his appointment as Deputy Collector.

His academic background includes a Graduate degree and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Delhi, equipping him with strong analytical and policy-oriented capabilities. Even before entering the IAS, he had qualified for the post of Cooperative Inspector through the Public Service Commission, reflecting his early commitment to public service.

Over the years, Priyank Mishra has served in key roles such as Chief Executive Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer, and Assistant Secretary, gaining wide-ranging administrative experience. Currently serving as Collector Dhar since November 2022, he has been associated with effective governance, developmental initiatives, and responsive administration at the district level.
