A major administrative reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh announced as Harshita Mathur (IAS 2013) has been transferred from her post as District Magistrate (DM) of Raebareli and appointed as the new Director, ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services). The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in Uttar Pradesh, managed by the Department of Women and Child Development, is a flagship program providing supplementary nutrition, pre-school education, health check-ups, and immunization to children (0-6 years), pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Operating through Anganwadi centres, it aims to reduce malnutrition and mortality.
