Business magazine Forbes has released a new perspective on the world’s richest people list. While recalculating the wealth of billionaires, their donations have also been added. It attempts to understand what the wealth and ranking of the world’s most generous billionaires would be like today if they had never made donations. To find this answer, Forbes prepared a ‘True Net Worth’ ranking. It assumes that the shares donated by billionaires would have remained with them and cash donations would have been invested according to market rates. New List – Warren Buffett would be third and MacKenzie Scott would be 26th Elon Musk is at the top position in both Forbes lists. However, he has donated only a very small portion of his wealth, approximately 0.06%. Bill Gates has donated approximately 73.1 crore shares of Microsoft. If he had kept these shares, his wealth would have been approximately 4 times more and he would have been the second richest person instead of 19th. Similarly, Warren Buffett would also move from 9th position to 3rd position. The value of shares donated by him since 2006 has increased by approximately 700%. MacKenzie Scott would climb 58 positions to reach 26th place. Her ex-husband Jeff Bezos would fall out of the top 5.
