An Etihad Airways flight bound for Abu Dhabi was grounded at Chennai airport on Monday after a suspected fire or smoke alert was reported from one of the aircraft’s wings. The flight was carrying around 280 passengers. According to news agency PTI, the Etihad flight was preparing for take-off when the pilots noticed the fire. Subsequently, all passengers were safely disembarked, and no injuries were reported to anyone. The fire was immediately put out by fire service personnel, and the flight was cancelled.
