Sushasan Tihar: CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s Direct Dialogue with Villagers in Marwahi, Self-Help Groups Get New Identity as CM Releases ‘Aajeevika Gatha’ Coffee Table Book

An intimate and unique public dialogue unfolded today as Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai sat on a cot under a mango tree in village Nimdha, Marwahi block, under the ongoing Sushasan Tihar. The CM interacted directly with villagers, heard their grievances, and took first-hand feedback on the ground implementation of government schemes. He held detailed discussions on basic amenities including electricity, water, ration, roads, health, education, and housing.

The Chief Minister said the state government is organizing Sushasan Tihar across Chhattisgarh from May 1 to June 10, through which the administration is reaching villages to ensure on-ground resolution of public grievances. He added that issues that can be resolved immediately are being settled on the spot, while others will be resolved in a time-bound manner.

Three Major Announcements for Nimdha
During the Janchaupal, villagers and Marwahi MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachi demanded a nursing college for the district, a mini stadium in Nimdha, and a grand Mangal Bhawan for all communities. Respecting public sentiment, the CM immediately approved and announced all three demands.

On complaints about erratic power supply, the CM sought details from officials on the spot and directed them to ensure a permanent solution. He assured villagers that necessary steps to improve electricity infrastructure would be taken promptly.

Strict Warning on Accountability
When complaints related to the Revenue Department surfaced, CM Sai issued a stern warning to the concerned revenue inspectors. He said officers must resolve public grievances on time or be ready to face strict action. His message reaffirmed the government’s commitment to good governance and accountability.

From ‘Lakhpati Didi’ to ‘Crorepati Didi’
Interacting with women from self-help groups and Lakhpati Didis, the CM urged them to aim higher. “The goal now should not just be to become Lakhpati, but Crorepati Didi,” he said. The women shared that funds from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are supporting their families, children’s education, and household needs.

The CM informed that the 28th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana was recently transferred to the accounts of nearly 70 lakh women across the state, benefiting women in Nimdha and the entire district. He added that the state government has sanctioned 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, significantly expanding rural housing.

CM Helpline Coming Soon
The Chief Minister announced that a CM Helpline will be launched soon, allowing citizens to register complaints via a toll-free number, email, and WhatsApp. A dedicated mechanism is being developed for swift, time-bound redressal.

Celebrating Rural Entrepreneurship
Women SHGs associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission ‘Bihan’ gave the CM a warm welcome. They presented him with a hamper of local products including Vishnu Bhog rice, black rice, honey, papad, and laddus. The CM praised their entrepreneurship and self-reliance, calling SHGs the most effective medium to strengthen the rural economy.

In the rustic setting, the CM also relished local delicacies served in sarai leaf plates jamun, koilar bhaji, bel sharbat, mango chutney, and aampana.

Aajeevika Gatha’ Released
On the occasion, the CM released Aajeevika Gatha’, a coffee table book documenting inspiring success stories of women from district SHGs. He said the book is a living document of rural women’s struggle, confidence, hard work, and success, and will inspire thousands towards self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

The CM said his visit was not just a review of schemes, but an effort to understand real needs and expectations by sitting among people. He reiterated that the true purpose of good governance is to deliver scheme benefits to the last person in society, and the state government is working continuously with that resolve.

Present on the occasion were District Panchayat Chairperson Sushri Sameera Paikra, Vice-Chairperson Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh, Gourela Municipal Council Chairperson Shri Mukesh Dubey, Special Secretary to CM Shri Rajat Bansal, IG Shri Ramgopal Garg, Collector Dr. Santosh Kumar Dewangan, Zila Panchayat CEO Shri Mukesh Rawte, along with public representatives, administrative officers, and a large number of villagers.
