A massive fire broke out at a tyre warehouse in the Shilphata area near Mumbra in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Tuesday. The blaze intensified within minutes, causing panic in the locality as huge plumes of smoke were visible from several kilometres away. According to preliminary information, the fire suddenly erupted at a tyre storage facility in the Shilphata area. As large quantities of tyres and other highly flammable materials were stored inside, the flames spread rapidly and engulfed the entire warehouse. The incident created panic among local residents, who rushed to safer locations after noticing the thick smoke and intense heat. Several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot soon after receiving information about the fire. Firefighters launched a large-scale operation to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. Dense smoke and extreme heat have made firefighting efforts challenging. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. However, authorities fear that the warehouse has suffered extensive damage. Fire at Jaipur fireworks factory kills three In a separate incident, a massive fire broke out at a fireworks factory in the Kho Nagoriyan area of Jaipur at around 11 am on Tuesday. Three people were burnt to death in the blaze, while five workers sustained serious injuries. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established. The injured — Azim Khan, Nasir Khan, Sameer Khan, Bilal and Abdul Wahid — were admitted to SMS Hospital. According to hospital sources, most of them have suffered burns over nearly 90 per cent of their bodies. ​
