Participates in the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sant Gadge Baba in Bodri; Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Road Projects Worth ₹42 Crore

Announces Several Key Development Initiatives Including Community Halls, Sports Ground, School Upgradation, and Pond Beautification

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the 150th birth anniversary celebration, oath-taking, and felicitation ceremony of Sant Shiromani Gadge Baba in Bodri, Bilaspur district, today. The Chief Minister paid floral tribute to Sant Gadge Baba and urged people to follow his path of service, cleanliness, social harmony, and human welfare.

On the occasion, Shri Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for road infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹42 crore. He stated that strong road infrastructure forms the foundation of development and that these projects would not only improve transportation facilities in the region but also accelerate economic activities.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Sant Gadge Baba dedicated his entire life to social reform, cleanliness, and service to humanity. He fought against untouchability, superstition, and social evils, providing a new direction to society. Shri Sai emphasized that Gadge Baba’s teachings remain highly relevant today and continue to inspire the creation of a better society.

He further noted that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the Swachh Bharat Mission is carrying forward Sant Gadge Baba’s message of cleanliness and public awareness to every corner of the country.

The Chief Minister also made several important announcements for the development of the region:

• ₹60 lakh for the construction of a community hall for the Kannauje Rajak community.
• Allocation of 25 dismil (approximately 0.25 acre) of land for the construction of Sant Gadge Bhavan.
• ₹60 lakh for a community hall for the Sannadya Kurmi community.
• ₹20 lakh for a community hall for the Verma community.
• Upgradation of Dhamni-Chakarbhatha Middle School into a High School.
• Provision of a sports ground near the airport in Bodri.
• Beautification and development of Jora Pond.

While honoring meritorious students, distinguished individuals from various fields, and office-bearers of social organizations, Shri Sai said that such recognitions encourage positive competition and foster a spirit of service within society. He also highlighted the significant role of social organizations in promoting awareness, unity, and social development.

The event was attended by Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, along with several public representatives, community leaders, and a large number of distinguished citizens.
