Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday disbursed ₹2,400 crore in incentives to over 15 lakh beneficiaries under the PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY). The amount was transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). During an event at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, the Prime Minister also interacted with young employees and employers. Modi said the scheme serves as a bridge between first-time job seekers and industry. “Through this initiative, we are building a strong workforce for the future,” he said. The incentive transfer programme was conducted across 200 industrial clusters nationwide. Appointment letters were also distributed to employees, as issuing appointment letters has become mandatory under the new labour codes. The government has allocated a total budget of ₹99,446 crore for PM-VBRY, with a target of creating 35 million jobs over the next two years. 5 key takeaways from PM Modi’s speech Key features of PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) Post navigation 115 crore barrels of oil gone missing during Iran war:Oil reserves lowest in 36 years; Trump says reserves would be exhausted in 4 weeks IAS Vivek Aggarwal Secretary Ministry of Culture GoI Becomes First Indian to be Appointed FATF Vice-President
