CM’s Advisors Pankaj Jha, R Krishna Das & Spl Secretary CM & CPR Rajat Bansal Review Working of CM Helpline 1076 and Sewa Setu Digital Platforms Hailed as Key Push for Good Governance, Transparency and Citizen Services ‘State Govt Using Technology to Bring Governance Closer to Citizens,’ Said Advisors Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Pankaj Jha and CM’s Advisor R Krishna Das today conducted a detailed review of the functioning of CM Helpline 1076 and Sewa Setu. Secretary, Department of Good Governance and Convergence, Rahul Bhagat, Special Secretary to CM and Commissioner, Public Relations, Rajat Bansal, Joint Secretary, Department of Good Governance and Convergence, Mayank Agrawal, along with other senior officials, were present during the review. Officials briefed them in detail on services provided to citizens through both digital platforms, the grievance redressal system, and technology-based public amenities. CM’s Media Advisor Pankaj Jha said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is effectively using technology to make administration more sensitive, accountable, and citizen-centric. “CM Helpline 1076 and Sewa Setu are strong examples of this approach, which are making dialogue between governance and citizens, and the availability of services, simpler and more effective,” he said. During the review, CM’s Advisor R Krishna Das personally called the CM Helpline to experience the complaint registration process and assessed the center’s functioning, complaint registration procedure, and redressal mechanism. He said the system developed to listen to citizens’ problems seriously and resolve them reflects the sensitivity and commitment of the government. Secretary, Department of Good Governance and Convergence, Rahul Bhagat said that CM Helpline 1076 is providing common citizens an accessible medium to convey their problems and grievances directly to the government. “A well-structured system has been developed for time-bound redressal of complaints received through the helpline. The entire process of monitoring, review, and resolution of complaints is being run transparently,” he said. From registration to resolution, every stage is linked through a technology-based system, ensuring accountability. Joint Secretary Mayank Agrawal said that CM Helpline is not just a medium for lodging complaints but is emerging as a powerful platform for quick and effective resolution of citizens’ problems. “A multi-tier system has been created for redressal of grievances, which fixes responsibility at various levels and ensures continuous monitoring of problem resolution. The objective is to provide relief to citizens and strengthen their trust in governance,” he said. Officials informed that Sewa Setu is an ambitious initiative of the state government aimed at delivering various government services to citizens through digital means. Citizens can apply for numerous essential certificates and services from home through it. Sewa Setu is making government processes simpler, transparent, and time-bound, eliminating the need for people to make unnecessary rounds of offices. They said that facilities provided through Sewa Setu are being continuously expanded. Keeping citizen convenience in mind, various services are being linked to the digital platform and made accessible through mobile and other online mediums. This is enabling citizens in rural and remote areas to easily avail government services. Work is underway to link more services to this platform in the future.
