A fire broke out in the kitchen chimney of Parikrama Restaurant on Barakhamba Road in New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. The incident prompted authorities to rush seven fire tenders to the spot, an official said. Just after the incident, the Delhi Fire Services said that it received a call at 3.40 pm regarding the fire at the iconic Parikrama (The Revolving Restaurant) and rushed to the spot to counter the fire. “We rushed seven fire tenders to the spot, and the fire was doused by 4 pm,” the DFS officer said. A fire department official named Mukesh Verma says, “At 15:40, the fire control room received a report of a fire in the kitchen of Parikrama Restaurant. Fire tenders from the nearest station and our specialised Bronto Sky Lift—deployed for rescue operations—were immediately dispatched to the scene; a total of seven vehicles were sent.
