A police officer posted as in Deputy Superintendent of Police in Police Computer Services in Hyderabad, Telangana has been arrested in a case of disproportionate assets. Allegedly the officer possess benami property worth ₹300 crores. The officer was arrested on Monday evening. What is the entire matter? The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau searched Reddy’s house, where they found 3.60 lakh rupees in cash, 2 kg of gold jewelry, and approximately 20 kg of silver items. Additionally, a bank balance of approximately 20 lakh rupees was also found. The accused has been identified as Sankireddy Bheem Reddy and allegedly owns property worth crores in the name of friends-associates. An investigation revealed that Reddy had purchased property in Telangana and Karnataka in the names of his relatives, friends, associates and unknown individuals. Secrets Revealed from a DSP’s Diary Raids were conducted on 16 places related to Reddy on July 2. Investigating officers found a personal diary handwritten by the DSP. It contained names of properties, investments, liabilities, and alleged benamidars. It is being reported that before going on the Char Dham Yatra with his wife in May, Bhim Reddy had written this diary and sent a scanned copy to his two sons via WhatsApp. The ACB states that based on this diary, the investigating agency was able to trace several properties and financial transactions. Currently, the investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the agency is conducting a detailed examination of the properties and financial documents.
