In a major late-night administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government transferred 20 IAS officers, announcing new postings to several key positions.

Senior IAS officer Bhaskar Lakshakar has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Indore Division, while Additional Chief Secretary to CM, Neeraj Mandloi, has been given additional charge of Industries and MSME, along with the responsibility of leading preparations for the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2027.

The Global Investors Summit scheduled for January 2027 in Bhopal is being seen as the state government’s biggest investment event. The Chief Minister’s trust in Neeraj Mandloi is being viewed as a significant administrative move.

Key Appointments

• Neeraj Mandloi to lead Industries & MSME and GIS 2027
  As per the transfer order, ACS Neeraj Mandloi has been given additional charge of the Industries and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department. He will now spearhead preparations for the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal in January 2027. The government expects his experience to help attract investments and accelerate industrial growth.
• Bhaskar Lakshakar appointed Indore Divisional Commissioner
  Senior IAS officer Bhaskar Lakshakar has been named the new Commissioner of Indore Division. Indore being the state’s most important administrative and industrial division, the appointment is considered crucial.
• Other key postings:
  Sudam Khade has been posted as Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Khade, who earlier served as Commissioner, Public Relations, has been entrusted with an important role.
  Kumar Purushottam has been given a key responsibility in the agriculture year. He has been posted as Deputy Secretary in CM Office along with charge of the Mandi Board.
  Trusted officer Sandeep Yadav has been assigned the Water Resources Department, including the highly critical Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh projects.
  Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar has been given charge of NVDA along with Revenue.
  K.C. Gupta has been given charge of Horticulture along with APC.
  Principal Secretary Manish Singh (Senior) will now handle Energy.
  Raghvendra Singh has been credited for successful implementation of Industry Year and has been given charge of the important and large Forest Department.
• Ajay Katesaria gets chance to serve as Collector
  Ajay Katesaria has been appointed Collector of Ratlam. Katesaria, who was serving as Deputy Secretary in the General Administration Department (GAD), has long experience in handling key administrative responsibilities.

Significant Administrative Reshuffle
The transfer of 20 IAS officers is being seen as a major administrative overhaul by the state government.
