The Income Tax Department has carried out raids at over 30 locations across several cities, including Bhopal, Indore and Mumbai. The operation is focused on Science House Medical Private Limited (SHMPL), based in MP Nagar, Bhopal, along with its associated institutions in Indore.

Income Tax have seized documents indicating large-scale tax evasion. The raids, which began early in the morning, are still ongoing as officials scrutinise financial records and other evidence.

Early morning operation at Science house

The IT team reached the premises of Science House around 5 AM. Officers are currently questioning company director Jitendra Tiwari and his associates software engineer Rohit Gupta, consultant Dinesh Barolia and Shikha Rajoria.

Action against medical surgical businessman

The raids have also extended to the premises of Rajesh Gupta, a businessman dealing in medical surgical equipment. A team of IT officials reached his residence at house number 64B in Panchvati, Lalghati, Bhopal. Heavy police deployment has been placed outside his residence to maintain order during the operation.

Science House, operating since 1994 from its main office at house number C-25 in Gautam Nagar, Bhopal, is engaged in the supply of medical equipment nationwide. The company also provides diagnostic services, pathology lab facilities and operates private hospitals.
