Sharma has been in custody since February 2025 in connection with the sensational case involving the seizure of 52 kg of gold and ₹11 crore in cash. A single bench of the High Court passed the order granting him bail on a personal bond of ₹10 lakh and a surety bond of the same amount. The court has laid down certain conditions for his release. The case had drawn wide attention due to the scale of seizure. Sharma’s release comes after the court considered his bail plea.
