6 Lakh Students to Get AI Training, 5,000 Startups by 2030: Chhattisgarh’s Youth-Centric Roadmap Rs 8 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals After New Industrial Policy Says CM Sai Invites Global Investors Chhattisgarh is moving ahead to make its youth ‘Job Creators’, not ‘Job Seekers’: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Chhattisgarh presents youth-centric economy roadmap at World Leaders Forum; 6 Lakh students to get AI training, target of 5,000 startups by 2030 Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today presented Chhattisgarh’s rapidly transforming economic picture, vast investment potential and future growth roadmap before global economic leaders at the two-day World Leaders Forum held in New Delhi. The CM said Chhattisgarh is moving fast from its traditional mineral-based identity to a new economy based on youth power, innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Startups, Green Energy and modern manufacturing. He said the government’s goal is not just to attract big investments, but to link investment with jobs, entrepreneurship, better income and a bright future for youth. The forum was attended by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Shri S. Jaishankar, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, former UK PM Boris Johnson and many global dignitaries. Rs 6.31 Lakh Crore Economy, 11.57% Growth Rate CM Sai said in 2025-26, Chhattisgarh’s economy has reached Rs 6.31 lakh crore with a growth rate of 11.57%. Per capita income has risen to Rs 1,79,244. In the Rs 1.72 lakh crore budget for 2026-27, special focus is on infrastructure, capital expenditure and social welfare. Investment Proposals Worth Over Rs 8 Lakh Crore After New Industrial Policy The CM said creating a transparent and investor-friendly environment is top priority. Through New Industrial Development Policy 2024-30, Single Window System 2.0, and over 450 process simplifications in last two years, investment procedures have been made easy. Investment proposals worth over Rs 8 lakh crore have been received. Future growth engines will be AI, Semiconductor, Electronics, Data Centers, Green Energy and Pharma, along with steel and cement. Target of 5,000 Startups by 2030 The new economy is centred on youth. To make them job creators, the state has set a target of 5,000 startups by 2030. Seed fund assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh is being provided to new entrepreneurs. 6 Lakh Students to Get AI Training, Rs 500 Crore AI Mission CM said 6 lakh students and 1.5 lakh government employees will be trained in AI. Over 50 AI-based government services will be launched. Under the Rs 500 crore State AI Mission, 100 AI Data Labs, 5 Centres of Excellence will be set up and 300+ AI startups will be supported. An AI Data Centre Park worth Rs 1,000 crore is being developed in Nava Raipur. Bastar Will Be the Pillar of New Economy Changing Bastar is the most important chapter of Chhattisgarh’s development journey. With improved security, new doors of development, investment and jobs have opened. Rs 4,824 crore livelihood upgradation scheme for 10 lakh families – – 421 closed schools reopened in Bastar – – Digital health profiles of 34 lakh people prepared – – Rs 3,513 crore Jagdalpur-Raoghat rail project will be a milestone Tourism, Local Products to Generate Jobs Places like Chitrakote, Tirathgarh, Kanger Valley and Sirpur will be linked to global tourism map. Tourism has been given industry status, creating jobs in hotel, hospitality, transport and handicrafts. Value addition of minor forest produce, medicinal plants, millets and agri-products will be promoted locally. Green Energy & Value Addition Focus The state targets 4,000 MW additional solar capacity. Over 90,000 houses are already solar-powered, with the state’s first floating solar plant in Bhilai. Focus is now on value addition within the state — electronics manufacturing in Nava Raipur and Rajnandgaon, Space Manufacturing Cluster, 142-acre Pharma Park, Textile Park, and new possibilities in battery manufacturing after discovery of lithium in Korba. Ease of Doing Business Act-2026 For ease of investment, Ease of Doing Business Act-2026 has been implemented. Provision of deemed approval if decision is not taken in stipulated time for low-risk industries. 43 services of 8 departments covered, benefiting around 15 lakh MSMEs. CM Sai presented Chhattisgarh as a state with natural resources, abundant energy, land, skilled youth, improving connectivity, modern infrastructure and investor-friendly policies. He said the next phase is to build an economy based on knowledge, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship — from resources to innovation, with the ultimate goal of better employment and income for youth.
