CM Patel visits Akshardham temple in USA’s Robbinsville:Praises Indian culture and global service works wholeheartedly

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham complex in Robbinsville, New Jersey, on August 22, 2026, during his US visit to promote the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. He praised the complex for showcasing India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, social service initiatives and the dedication of volunteers. The visit marked the first trip to the US by a Gujarat Chief Minister in nearly 30 years. Senior Swaminarayan organisation saints Pujya Brahmviharidas Swami and Pujya Nilkanthsevadas Swami welcomed Patel and the state delegation with garlands. Akshardham museum to feature 12 replicas, 40 multimedia shows and 85 dioramas Patel also visited the under-construction Akshardham Museum and appreciated its scale and cultural significance. The museum, described as one of the first major Hindu museums being developed in the US, will feature 12 architectural replicas, 40 multimedia presentations, 85 dioramas and around 200 artistic sculptures. Patel described the project as a unique global landmark that would introduce visitors from around the world to India’s enduring values of compassion, family bonds and selfless service. CM praises Akshardham’s craftsmanship and volunteers’ spirit of service Pujya Brahmviharidas Swami, a senior saint of the organisation, said Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was deeply impressed by the temple’s intricate carvings and serene spiritual atmosphere. Patel expressed his appreciation to the saints and volunteers for preserving and showcasing India’s ancient heritage on foreign soil. He praised their discipline, humility and spirit of hospitality, saying their commitment to selfless service would continue to inspire future generations. Representatives from across the US and members of the Indian community were also present during the visit.
