Flash floods from Tibet wreaked havoc in Nepal’s Rasuwa district on Wednesday. Floodwaters and debris swept through areas from Timure to Trishuli Bazaar and Betrawati, destroying homes, roads and bridges and washing away a hydropower project. In several areas, the flooding was so severe that even helipads were swept away, forcing rescue helicopters to turn back without landing.
