BJP National Spokesperson and Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia has filed a ₹2 crore defamation suit before the Delhi High Court against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, seeking damages and permanent injunction.

The suit relates to an AI-generated graphic falsely attributing remarks about Swatantra Bhardwaj to Bhatia, calling him a “dimagi naxal”. Bhardwaj is accused of assault on the father of CJP activist Nishu Azad. According to the plea, Saurav Das shared the graphic on X, and despite deleting it after Bhatia’s 24-hour legal notice seeking apology, questioned whether Bhatia disagreed with the statement. Co-convener Ashutosh Ranka allegedly amplified the post with mocking caption.

Bhatia has sought removal of the defamatory content and restraining orders against further publication, contending that the false attribution caused irreparable harm to his reputation as a Senior Advocate and public figure.
