Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the Teej Milan function organized at the residence of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma.

More than 68 lakh mothers and sisters are getting financial support every month through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana.

13.85 lakh women of the state became Lakhpati Didi, steps taken towards self-employment and self-reliance

The Film City, being built at a cost of Rs 650 crore, will provide new opportunities to Chhattisgarh’s art, culture and local talent.

The Chief Minister honored the artists who made significant contributions in the field of folk art and culture.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the Teej Milan ceremony held at the residence of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma. Held in a traditional, cordial atmosphere, the Chief Minister met with mothers and sisters and extended his best wishes for the Teej festival. He said that women hold a special place in Chhattisgarh’s culture and traditions. Respect for mothers and sisters, their safety, and economic empowerment are among the top priorities of the state government.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the festival of Teej is linked to our rich culture, family values, and intimate relationships. This festival, dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is an occasion to pray for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the family. He prayed to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for a happy, prosperous, and healthy life for all the mothers and sisters of the state and their families.

The Chief Minister said that although the festival of Teej has concluded, the occasion of Teej gathering among such a large number of mothers and sisters today is extremely pleasant and intimate. At the Chief Minister’s residence, he also had the opportunity to share the joy of the festival with sisters from across the state on the occasion of Teej. The beauty of our traditions is that they connect us to family and society and strengthen mutual love and intimacy. 

Mother power has received the highest respect in Sanatan culture.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in Indian Sanatan culture, mother power has been given the highest respect since ancient times. The message of respect and dignity of women is contained in our Vedas, Puranas and social traditions. Our culture says – “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devataah”, that is, where women are respected, there the gods reside.

The Chief Minister said that a mother is the family’s first teacher and the foundation of values. It is through the hard work, sacrifice, and blessings of mothers and sisters that families become strong, and strong families lead to a strong society and a prosperous state. Therefore, the state government is treating women not only as beneficiaries of schemes but also as equal partners in building a developed Chhattisgarh.

Mahatari Vandan Yojana boosted the confidence of the sisters

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has become an effective means of economic empowerment for the mothers and sisters of the state. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs. 1,000 per month is being directly transferred to the bank accounts of more than 68 lakh women. So far, more than Rs. 20,000 crore has been transferred to the accounts of beneficiary women through 31 installments.

He said that the positive change brought about in the lives of mothers and sisters by this scheme gives them special satisfaction. Sisters are using this money to meet their own and family needs, as well as for their children’s education, savings, and small-scale self-employment ventures. Some sisters are securing their daughters’ futures by depositing funds in the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, while others are turning their skills into a livelihood by purchasing sewing machines. This financial support is also strengthening women’s self-confidence and decision-making abilities.

The Chief Minister said that the government’s effort is to ensure that every woman in the state has the opportunities, resources, and necessary support to advance. When our mothers and sisters are economically empowered, families will become stronger and the entire state’s progress will gain new momentum.

13.85 lakh Lakhpati Didis have become the new identity of women empowerment.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the objective of women’s empowerment is not just to provide financial assistance, but also to make mothers and sisters self-reliant by connecting them with sustainable livelihoods, skills, and self-employment. So far, 13.85 lakh women in the state have become Lakhpati Didis. This is a pleasant picture of a changing and self-reliant Chhattisgarh.

He said that women associated with self-help groups are now increasing their family income through various economic activities and small businesses. Many women are moving towards self-employment, leveraging the financial support provided by the Mahatari Vandan Yojana and banking facilities. Women’s increasing economic participation is not only enriching families but also strengthening the state’s economy.

Chhattisgarh’s art and culture will get a new identity in the country and the world.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is known for its unique folk art, culture, traditions, and natural beauty. Its cultural heritage is our identity and strength. The state government is making continuous efforts to preserve it and make it accessible to the new generation and the country and the world.

He said that a film city is being developed at a cost of approximately 650 crore rupees to promote film production in the state. This will expand the possibilities for film production and shooting in Chhattisgarh. It will create new employment and talent showcasing opportunities for local artists, technicians, and youth, and will also boost tourism in the state.

The Chief Minister said that artists have an invaluable contribution in keeping Chhattisgarh’s folk art and culture alive. Through their talent, our artists are spreading the fragrance of Chhattisgarh’s soil and its traditions to the nation and the world. The state government will continue to encourage artists and cultural talents to thrive.

The picture of Chhattisgarh has changed due to the expansion of basic facilities.

Referring to the tenure of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that during his 15-year tenure, extensive work was done to expand basic amenities like roads, electricity, drinking water, and food security in the state. By making the public distribution system effective, a strong system was developed to deliver food grains to needy families, due to which Dr. Raman Singh also earned the name “Chaur Wale Baba” in the state.

The Chief Minister said that today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central and state governments are working together to ensure that public welfare schemes reach the last person. Integrating the poor, farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged into the mainstream of development is the government’s priority.

Public welfare and development have gained new momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward towards the resolution of a developed India with the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.” Chhattisgarh is also moving forward with full commitment to play a strong role in building a developed India.

He said that 1.8 million Prime Minister’s Housing Schemes have been approved in the state, and approximately 1,600 are being constructed daily. Central and state government schemes are being implemented rapidly to provide basic amenities like housing, drinking water, electricity, and roads to villages.

Referring to the difficult times of the Corona pandemic, the Chief Minister said that the country, by developing vaccines indigenously, ensured the safety of its citizens and also helped many countries. He said that on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, the people of Chhattisgarh expressed their affection and good wishes for the Prime Minister by lighting lamps in their homes. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the mothers, sisters and citizens of the state for participating enthusiastically in this.

Chhattisgarh is moving ahead with peace, trust and development

Chief Minister Sai said that with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the courage of security forces, and the cooperation of local citizens, Chhattisgarh has achieved significant success against Naxalism. In areas where fear and violence once hindered development, new opportunities for development are now emerging with peace and trust.

He said that nature has blessed Chhattisgarh with forest wealth, forest produce, mineral resources, and fertile agricultural land. The government is committed to taking the state to new heights of development by optimally utilizing these resources for the public good. The participation, hard work, and blessings of mothers and sisters are crucial in this journey towards a developed Chhattisgarh.

Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma greeted mothers and sisters with a folk song.

Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma said that it was a privilege to welcome mothers and sisters at his residence on the occasion of Teej. The presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made the event even more special.

Recalling his life’s struggles, Mr. Verma said that when he was in the eighth grade, electricity had reached his village for the first time, and there was no road to the village. He said that after 2003, infrastructure and development work expanded rapidly in the state’s villages. Today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh is moving forward on the path of development and prosperity. As the son of a farmer, he considers it a matter of pride and privilege to have the opportunity to serve the public as a minister in the state government.

On this occasion, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma presented a Chhattisgarhi folk song and greeted the mothers and sisters. His performance further enlivened the celebrations with Chhattisgarhi culture and the joy of the Teej festival.

Honoring artists who enrich folk art and culture

Artists who have brought recognition to Chhattisgarh’s folk art and culture both domestically and internationally were honored at the ceremony. Chief Minister Shri Sai honored the artists and praised their contributions.

The Chief Minister said that artists play a vital role in preserving, enhancing, and transmitting Chhattisgarh’s cultural identity to new generations. Our folk art, folk songs, folk dances, and traditions are not just cultural heritage, but a vibrant expression of our roots and social life.

The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Ganesha and prayed for the prosperity of the state.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai worshipped Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, at the residence of Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, following the prescribed rituals and received his blessings. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Ganesha for happiness, peace, and prosperity in the lives of all Chhattisgarh residents, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the state.
