A Computer Science Engineer by qualification, he started his career with a multinational company. Driven by public service, he cracked the Civil Services with remarkable resolve — securing IPS in his first attempt and IAS in his second. He joined the IAS on September 3, 2012. He began his field journey as Assistant Collector, Raigarh and as SDM, Rajnandgaon in August 2014. Since then, he has held crucial assignments — CEO, Zila Panchayat Rajnandgaon & Surajpur, Commissioner, Raipur Municipal Corporation, and Collector, Dhamtari, Bastar and Balodabazar-Bhatapara.
