The Adani Group has committed an investment blueprint of more than Rs 6 lakh crore across Maharashtra, with projects worth about Rs 2.6 lakh crore already completed or under execution, as the state launched its new investment promotion platform, Invest Maharashtra. Among the group’s key projects is the Navi Mumbai International Airport, which Adani said was being developed as a major infrastructure asset for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and would eventually be capable of handling more than 90 million passengers annually. The firm is planning to add a residential and commercial township near the new airport, on the lines of its Shantigram development in Ahmedabad, centred around its group corporate headquarters.
