Madhya Pradesh Honoured with PMAY-U Award 2026

On the occasion of World Habitat Day, Madhya Pradesh was conferred with a National Award for outstanding performance in the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in New Delhi today.

Madhya Pradesh secured the 3rd position among the best-performing states in the country.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, and with effective implementation by the Urban Administration & Development Department led by Commissioner Shri Sanket Bhondve, Madhya Pradesh is continuously achieving new milestones in the housing sector, furthering Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Housing for All’.

The effective implementation of PMAY-U has resulted in significant progress towards providing safe, pucca and dignified housing to urban families in the state.
