In line with its goal of social reform and as per the vision of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Board will pay the school fees of orphan children from its income so that their education does not stop. According to the MP Waqf Board, an amount of over Rs 21 lakh will be paid towards the school fees of 289 orphan children residing in Bhopal, up to Rs 10,000 per child. The amount will be disbursed on Tuesday, 13/10/2026 at the Yateemkhana Ground in the Waqf Board office premises. The children were selected after applications were invited twice through newspaper advertisements to ensure the information reached the needy. After scrutiny, 289 children were found eligible. The fund comes from the income generated from the Board’s Yateemkhana property, to be used for the welfare of orphans as per the wish of the donor (Waqif). MP Waqf Board Chairman Dr. Sanwar Patel said this is a result of freeing Waqf properties from illegal encroachments after the Waqf Amendment law, which has increased income. He claimed MP Waqf Board is the only board in the country that is using its earned income to ensure the education of Muslim community children does not stop.
