Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Chhattisgarh is rapidly developing into a major medical hub in Central India. Along with the expansion of health infrastructure in the state, cutting-edge medical technology, super-specialty services, and medical education are being continuously promoted. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen of Chhattisgarh has access to quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare within their own state, and that financial constraints do not hinder the treatment of any needy individual.

Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of Omega Medicine Hospital’s new initiative of state-of-the-art healthcare services and cancer treatment center in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated and wished the hospital management and the entire team of Omega Group, saying that the expansion of modern facilities for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer will further strengthen the state’s healthcare services.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the entire family goes through a difficult time with a patient battling a serious illness like cancer. If treatment has to be transferred to another state, the financial burden on the family increases, along with many practical difficulties. Our effort is to minimize the need for the people of Chhattisgarh to travel outside the state for treatment of even the most serious illnesses, and to ensure that they receive world-class medical facilities while living with their families.

He said that the proposed oncology center at Omega Hospital would be an important initiative in this direction. The availability of expert physicians and modern medical technology would provide better cancer treatment facilities not only to patients in Chhattisgarh but also to patients from neighboring states.

Health infrastructure is being strengthened to build a healthy Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is working tirelessly to build a healthy Chhattisgarh. Instead of limiting health services to major cities, special emphasis is being placed on providing quality medical care to villages, the poor, and remote tribal areas.

He said that health infrastructure is being strengthened, from primary and community health centers to district hospitals and medical colleges. ICUs, dialysis units, modern pathology, and other essential medical facilities are being expanded in district hospitals so that patients do not have to travel unnecessarily to larger cities for routine checkups and treatment.

The Chief Minister said that the government’s effort is to decentralize health services, reduce the gap in medical facilities between rural and urban areas, and ensure access to quality health services to the last person.

The government is becoming a support for families in serious illness

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that serious illness is not only a health challenge, but often creates a significant financial crisis for families. The Ayushman Bharat scheme, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has relieved millions of such families of the worry of medical treatment. Along with government hospitals, a large number of private hospitals have also been linked to the scheme, providing eligible families with free treatment under the prescribed provisions.

He said that the state government is also providing assistance to needy families suffering from serious illnesses through the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. It is our clear resolve that no poor person’s treatment should be stopped due to lack of money and that no family should be forced to sell their land, house, or jewelry to treat an illness.

Health services network reaching Abujhmad and remote forest areas

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the transformation taking place in the health sector is not limited to Raipur or major cities. The government’s priority is also to expand access to health services in remote and tribal areas of the state, including Abujhmad.

He said that in areas where access to basic facilities was once limited, the scope of health services is now expanding. In forest areas, villagers are being screened and treated through health camps. Continuous efforts are being made to strengthen maternal and child health services, as well as increase the availability of doctors, medicines, and essential diagnostic facilities.

The Chief Minister said that our aim is to develop such a health system in which every citizen, from the remote villages of Bastar to the capital Raipur, has access to quality medical facilities as per their needs.

Medicity and Pharma Park spread over 200 acres in Nava Raipur will open new doors of possibilities.

This project will play a significant role in transforming Chhattisgarh’s health sector in the future.

He said that the Medicity and Pharma Park will provide a strong ecosystem for super-specialty medical services, the pharmaceutical industry, medical research, and modern health technologies. This will also create new employment opportunities for the state’s youth, including doctors, nursing, and paramedical staff.

The Chief Minister said that super-specialty and multispecialty healthcare facilities are continuously expanding in Raipur and Naya Raipur. Through modern healthcare facilities and new investments in the medical sector, Chhattisgarh’s medical tourism potential is also strengthening. It is our endeavor that in the coming years, Chhattisgarh becomes a major center for quality and modern medical services not only for the people of the state but also for those from neighboring states.

Private investment in the health sector will increase facilities and employment

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Omega Group’s expansion of healthcare services in Raipur is a sign that Chhattisgarh is emerging as an attractive investment destination in the medical sector. The state government is encouraging private investment and public-private partnerships in the health sector.

He said that through coordinated efforts between the government and the private sector, rapid expansion of modern healthcare infrastructure is possible. The establishment of new hospitals and super-specialty centers will not only provide better treatment to patients but will also create a large number of employment opportunities for doctors, nursing staff, paramedical personnel, and other youth.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that healthy citizens are the strongest foundation of a prosperous state. Therefore, the government is working to expand treatment facilities and make health services more accessible, modern, and people-oriented.
