Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has stated that healthy citizens are the strongest foundation for a developed and prosperous Chhattisgarh. Providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare to every citizen is a top priority for the state government. With this commitment, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen health infrastructure, expand modern medical facilities, and provide better healthcare services to remote areas. As a result of these efforts, Chhattisgarh is rapidly developing as a major medical hub in central India.

Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 125-bed, state-of-the-art super-specialty Prathamesh Hospital, built on approximately one acre of land in Devpuri, Raipur, today. The Chief Minister inaugurated the hospital by cutting the ribbon and inquired about the modern medical facilities available there. He congratulated the hospital management, doctors, and the entire team and expressed confidence that the hospital will play a vital role in further strengthening the state’s health services.

Better and modern treatment facilities should be available in the state itself

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in the event of a serious illness, patients and their families must travel to other states for treatment, facing financial burdens and numerous practical difficulties. The state government is striving to ensure that the maximum number of specialist and super-specialty medical services are available to the people of the state within Chhattisgarh.

He said that the expansion of modern hospitals and specialized medical services in various areas of the state, including Raipur, will steadily reduce dependence on other states for treatment of serious illnesses. This will benefit not only the citizens of Chhattisgarh but also patients from neighboring states.

The Chief Minister said that through the coordinated efforts of government and private institutions in the health sector, a strong healthcare ecosystem is being developed in the state. The opening of modern hospitals will not only provide quality treatment to the public but will also create new employment opportunities for doctors, nursing staff, paramedical personnel, and youth.

A strong shield of health security under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the accessibility and quality of healthcare services in the country has expanded significantly. The Ayushman Bharat scheme has provided financial security to poor and needy families for treatment of serious illnesses. A large number of eligible families in Chhattisgarh are also receiving free treatment through this scheme.

He said that our double-engine government is striving to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder anyone’s treatment. The expansion of healthcare facilities is not limited to major cities. Health infrastructure is being strengthened, from district hospitals to primary and community health centers. Special attention is also being paid to expanding access to medical services in remote forested areas and tribal areas.

The Chief Minister said that the government’s thinking is clear – every citizen has equal right to better health services, whether he lives in the capital or in some remote forest area of ​​the state.

Nava Raipur’s Medicity will give a new identity to the health sector

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in order to develop Chhattisgarh as a major center for health services and medical investment, a modern Medicity is being developed on 200 acres in Nava Raipur. This project will elevate the state’s health sector to new heights in the future.

He said that Medicity offers vast potential for expanding modern and super-specialty healthcare services. This will boost medical tourism in the state and generate new investment and employment opportunities in the medical sector.

The Chief Minister said that the continued expansion of modern medical institutions in Raipur and Naya Raipur is strengthening Chhattisgarh’s reputation as a major healthcare destination. Our goal is to ensure that in the future, the people of Chhattisgarh will not need to travel abroad for better treatment for serious and complex illnesses, but rather that people from other states will come to Chhattisgarh for quality treatment.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the establishment of modern institutions in the health sector reflects the continued expansion of medical facilities available in the state. He called on hospital management to work in the interest of patients, giving top priority to service, sensitivity, and quality.

Human resources and employment are also expanding along with health infrastructure.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that investment in the health sector is not limited to hospitals and medical equipment. It also increases employment opportunities for doctors, nurses, technicians, paramedical staff, and in various health care sectors. 
He added that the expansion of modern medical institutions in the state is also bringing new possibilities for the youth of Chhattisgarh. The state government is striving to develop trained human resources along with the development of health infrastructure, ensuring that youth have access to better employment opportunities within their own state.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that only a healthy Chhattisgarh will pave the way for a developed Chhattisgarh. The state government is working with full commitment to make health services modern, accessible, and people-oriented. We are committed to ensuring that quality health services reach every person in the state and that every family has the assurance of better treatment in times of need.

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Tokhan Sahu, said that good health is the foundation of a happy and prosperous life. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central and state governments are continuously working to expand healthcare services. He said that the opening of modern medical institutions like Prathamesh Hospital will provide better treatment facilities to the people of the state. He congratulated and wished the hospital management and the entire team.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh is making steady progress in the field of healthcare. Along with strengthening government health institutions, modern medical facilities are also expanding in the private sector. The opening of Prathamesh Hospital will provide the state’s population with the benefits of super-specialty healthcare. He congratulated the hospital management for providing quality healthcare with service and sensitivity.

On this occasion, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Dr. Rajiv Sahu of Prathamesh Hospital Group, Dr. Sarika Sahu along with other public representatives, doctors and dignitaries were present.
