25 Years of RASHTRA SEWA BY HON’BLE MODI JI

India, the mother of democracy has had 14 Prime Ministers, all with different backgrounds and historical context under which they came to power. Some were freedom fighters, some farmer’s leaders, others came from the large States such as Uttar Pradesh, many had caste arithmetic working for them and many came from political legacies where the family name was enough. But in 2014 for the first time India got a Prime Minister who didn’t have any of these benefits, one who came from humble beginnings without any political background, someone who achieved his position of his own blood, sweat and hard work somebody who thought of the country before anything else and planned for every section of society. Shri. Narendra Damodardas Modi Ji spent his formative years working at the grassroot level understanding India’s political landscape and planning a vision for the country that would be remembered for a lifetime.
In 2001 he had the opportunity to become the Chief Minister of Gujarat under very trying
circumstances and it is under those circumstances that Modi ji showed his character which has been to turn adversity into an opportunity to work for the common man. Modi ji spent the next 13 years transforming Gujarat and its ecosystem into one of the most progressive States the country has ever seen. This report card is what the country saw and propelled him to the prime ministers post in 2014. Modi ji is background might be unique to former prime ministers but it was his vision and approach to the responsibilities that really set him apart from his predecessors.
His sense of Duty above all and responsibility to the common man showed when he stood at the Red Fort and brought up issues such as basic cleanliness and women’s hygiene that no other Prime Minister had done before.
From such basic issues to big development projects such as bringing the bullet train project to India supporting our Space Program through which we landed on the Dark Side of The Moon which no other country has done or the ambitious Mega project of the Kalpasar Dam coming up in the Gulf of Khambat of Gujarat. No development project has been too big to achieve under his leadership. Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas is not just a political slogan but it is a Mantra through which the official vision of policies is implemented for every section of the society. And implementation of many schemes was for the first time done via a robust direct benefit transfer system where by no leakages took place with zero scope for corruption. This will be one of the hallmarks of Hon’ble Modi Ji’s regime.
Past governments have never had a track record of showing Pride in Bharat history and culture. This changed in the Modi era where a cultural Renaissance has been a distinct feature of the past 12 years, emotive issues such as the abrogation of article 370 which brought Kashmir fully into the constitutional framework of India, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath corridor project, various
such historically relevant issues have been taken up under Hon’ble Modi ji.
Shri. Modi Ji’s tenure has been about India Re-discovering itself, it has been about India standing on its own feet and making its presence felt all over the world as a voice of reason in an otherwise volatile geopolitical scenario. Being strong at the grassroot levels was an imperative for economic growth. That economic growth has today made India a formidable voice for global issues and that is a matter of pride for all Indians.
All these extraordinary achievements under one Prime Ministers reign can be attributed to the character of a self made man who learnt India’s political landscape looking hard on his own merit the ability to work non stop 24/7, for 365 days a year, without any holidays, without any brakes, without any personal time, a dedication of a lifetime to the cause of the country, this is the primary reason for the sheer scale of what has been achieved.
A healthy democracy is about views and counter views but one thing that can never be question is that Modi ji has changed the political landscape in our country forever, we have come a very long way from the “aise hi chalta hai” attitude that we are all so familiar with of years gone by, we have moved from “aise hi chalta hai” to We can do it and We will do it!
This kind of a life that is dedicated to the nation is exactly the role model that the youth of this country need to understand, acknowledge and try to emulate in today’s day and age where social media algorithms influence many of our youth and the loud chaos that we see on our screens is not what the youth should be looking at but the calm determined selfless life dedicated to the country asking for nothing in return is the kind of life that should be the role model for our youth.

This unique background of the Prime Minister also makes it a unique scenario for his political opponents who can never challenge his motive, his efficiency at delivery, or a single allegation of corruption. These are the very qualities that endear him to the public, while making his opponents job or opposing him close to impossible. This is also a reason why we see the opposition going to absurd lengths and wild allegations to try to politically target of the PM. This desperation speaks volumes of what the Hon’ble PM has achieved and strives to achieve in the future.

As a patriotic citizen I pray for a long and successful tenure for the Prime Minister. He is building a legacy which will never be forgotten.
