A family from Madhya Pradesh was killed when a dumper ran over their bike in Muktainagar, Maharashtra, on Friday evening. Nitesh Jan Singh Chauhan (30), his wife Sunita Bai (28), and their 7-year-old son Nihal died on the spot, while their younger son Sukhvinder sustained injuries. Enraged locals set the dumper on fire following the accident. The family, residents of Matapur village in Khaknar tehsil, Burhanpur district, were returning from Jalgaon to their village when the tragedy occurred at the Purnada intersection. Bike trapped under dumper, three dead, one injured The family’s bike got trapped under the wheels of a dumper, killing the couple and their 7-year-old son instantly. Their younger son, Sukhwinder, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital in Jalgaon. Maharashtra Police rushed to the scene and managed to bring the situation under control. As the accident occurred within Maharashtra, the local authorities will take legal action. Victim served as Gyani at Jalgaon Gurudwara Residents of Lokhadia said Nitesh Jan Singh Chauhan was a Gyani (religious scholar) posted at the Jalgaon Gurudwara. Earlier, he served in Chhattisgarh before being recently transferred to Jalgaon. On Friday, he was travelling to his native village, Matapur, to meet his family when the tragic accident occurred. ​
