The Madhya Pradesh government is all set to release the transfer list of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, which may include changes for District Collectors, Divisional Commissioner’s Including Secretaries, Principal Secretaries & Additional Chief Secretaries. The Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has sent the list to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for the final approval according to the sources. The transfers are reportedly based on performance and aim to improve governance outcomes.District Collectors who have served in their positions for two years or more may be replaced. Some of the districts likely to see changes include Bhopal, Bhind, Betul, Dhar, Chhindwara, Mandla, Morena and Alirajpur. There may be changes in the Vallabh Bhawan, with possible replacements for Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, and Commissioner of two to three divisions. The transfers aim to improve governance outcomes and accountability that’s why Chief Secretary Anurag Jain’s prioritizes is to post direct IAS officers for posting in Districts & Divisional level, especially in top 15 districts including Divisional Commissioner levels, where Collector and SP Accordingly IG and Divisional Commissioner should be posted only with direct recruitment. The government has already transferred 42 IAS officers in January 2025 and 18 IAS officers in September 2025, indicating a significant overhaul of the administrative framework.
