In Ratlam, a woman had her sister-in-law murdered by her two sons. She suspected that her sister-in-law practiced black magic. The accused first attacked the woman with an axe in front of her grandchildren. Then they threw her down from the roof. Police have arrested the accused elder sister-in-law and her two sons. The incident took place in Rawati on September 25. The revelation came two days later, on Saturday. There were continuous deaths in the family of Dhannabai (55) Bhuria. Meanwhile, everything was going well in the family of her younger sister-in-law, Nani Bai, alias Narmada Bhuria. The elder sister-in-law felt that her younger sister-in-law, Nani Bai, was practicing black magic on her family. She used to call her a witch. On Thursday night, when Nani Bai was sleeping on the roof with her grandchildren, the accused attacked her. Nani Bai died on the spot. Attack on grandmother, grandchildren fled in fear According to information, on Thursday night in Bhimpura village, Nani Bai was sleeping with her granddaughters, Lakshmi (10), Payal (3), Ranu (8), Kanu (6), and her daughter Monica. During this, Dhannabai’s two sons came onto the roof and attacked Nani Bai with an axe. The children woke up. One accused tried to strangle his granddaughter, Lakshmi, but they all escaped and hid in a room in the house. During this, the accused threw Nani Bai from the roof. She died. Granddaughter reached Dhannabai in the morning The children remained hidden in the room until morning. In the morning, granddaughter Lakshmi went to Dhannabai and informed her about her grandmother’s death. Nani Bai’s body was lying outside the house, covered in blood. Her sister-in-law, Dhannabai, informed Hariram, a villager passing by the house, about this. Hariram informed Sarpanch Lalsingh Bhuria. Three deaths in the family in one year The accused told the police that 12 years ago, Dhannabai’s elder son Shankar’s first wife, Ganga Bai, had died. Before this, Gangabai also had a miscarriage. Shankar married Rekha for the second time. Rekha also died in August this year. In her last moments, she had named Nani Bai. Within a year, Dhannabai’s husband, Badri Bhuria, and father-in-law Manji Bhuria also died. Everything was good at the younger sister-in-law’s house After the death of daughter-in-law Rekha, due to the family’s deteriorating financial condition, Dhannabai could not even perform her last rites. No one in Nani Bai’s family had any illness, whereas in Dhannabai’s family, there were continuous deaths due to illness. For this reason, she suspected Nani Bai of practicing black magic. At Dhannabai’s insistence, Nani Bai was also taken to Hussain Tekri by her family. She stayed there for a few days, but after the death of her daughter-in-law, Rekha, the accused decided to kill her. After the incident, the accused told the police that they had killed the ‘dakan’ (witch). SP Amit Kumar said that villagers would be made aware of superstitions in the village by coordinating with the concerned departments.
