Indore is witnessing political tension over the removal of employees and artisans of a particular community from the Sheetla Mata Bazaar area. The controversy grew when former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh visited the city, prompting questions from the local Congress president. Now, BJP senior leader and former Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has also raised questions about the visit of Digvijaya Singh and Rahul Gandhi. Narottam Mishra reacts to community remarks When asked about Eklavya Singh Gaur’s statement that Muslim employees and artisans should not be allowed in shops, Dr. Narottam Mishra said such incidents appear in media, especially on social media videos showing people spitting, urinating, or washing fruits in dirty drains. He noted that these incidents often lead to such divisive thoughts. Social media role under scrutiny Dr. Mishra emphasized that social media platforms where such videos appear should verify their authenticity before sharing. He also stressed that the situation in the area should not worsen and that everyone must work to maintain peace. Narottam: Digvijaya Singh is behind how riots can happen in the state. He is behind how peace can be disturbed. I will give two-three examples. When a riot occurred in Khargone, he posted a photo on his Twitter account showing a saffron flag being waved over a mosque. This was not the reality; he later removed it. In his first attempt, he succeeds. This is the same Digvijaya Singh who, when ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans were raised in Ujjain, came to their defense and started explaining that those were ‘Qazi Sahab Zindabad’ slogans. This is the same Digvijaya Singh who saw a messenger of peace in Zakir Naik. He used to call him a messenger of peace. If we go back a little, it was Digvijaya Singh who made Sonia Gandhi shed tears over the death of a terrorist in the Batla House encounter. If anyone took a step towards calling saffron terrorism, Digvijaya Singh had a hand in it. This is the same Digvijaya Singh who finds cow dung stinky. He says, ‘How can a cow be our mother?’ He definitely says that. You would not have heard him say anything about a goat till date, would you? But he definitely speaks about cows. Rahul Gandhi, whenever you see, speaks on Sanatan, Hindu, or Hindutva. He wants to push a Gen-Z narrative because whenever he goes outside the country, his fundamental desire is how to insult India. How can riots happen in India? Today, people in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan wish to develop like India. They want our economy to become strong. However, there are some mischievous leaders in this country who wish for our India to become like Nepal. They want our India to become like Pakistan, where there are queues for flour. Where there is a scramble for flour. After Prime Minister Modi came to power in this country, wheat and rice are available for one rupee per kilo. There is a huge difference. Today, India’s growing strength is not tolerated by some leaders. Whenever Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he speaks against India. Just yesterday, he spoke in Canada. What he is saying there, he can say here too. When the Corona vaccine was made and India gained recognition, he said that it is a BJP vaccine. There is no Corona vaccine at all. If they lose a case, they question the court; if they lose an election, they question the EVM. Earlier they used to say EVMs are faulty, now they are saying votes are being stolen. Narottam: Earlier, a thousand names were found in one house in Rewa. Even now, if an example was given, it was of Karnataka, where their government is. Your employees, your own administration. The example given is from a place where 95% of the names are Hindu. The root of the problem lies with the original Rohingyas and people who came from Bangladesh. So that their votes are not cut. He gave an example from there and undertook a foot march in that belt of Bihar. Narottam: They are coming from where their INDI alliance governments are. Be it Jharkhand, or West Bengal. Wherever there are INDI alliance or Congress governments, they are making voter cards and ration cards for them. When they add names, they reach Delhi like that. Our government is sifting them out. Narottam: What the Congress district president has said will not be palatable to Digvijaya Singh because Digvijaya ji does not seek anyone’s permission on any controversial issue, as his existence in the Congress has ended in today’s situation. Among the public, it had ended 15–20 years ago. Now, for the first time, his existence within the Congress has started to diminish. Until now, he was a big leader of the Congress, but ever since Kamal Nath ji’s statement came, his existence began to fade. After that, he will have to get involved in controversial issues. Otherwise, the media will not even discuss him. Narottam: There is no such national leader who has been made a district president. Having a post is one thing, but fitting into the frame is another. They can do anything now. No matter who they make, the fault is in the engine; they are repeatedly changing the coaches. That won’t achieve anything. Narottam: Rahul Gandhi. Narottam: Even if Kharge is the national president. Similarly, Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister for 10 years. But he never became a leader. The leaders of Congress were called Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi. They were never leaders of the people. Even after being Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh was not a leader of Congress. The leaders of Congress were Sonia ji, Rahul Gandhi. Similarly, Kharge ji is just for namesake. Narottam: Our Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is constantly striving. He follows Deendayal ji’s mantra of ‘Charaiveti-Charaiveti’ (keep moving forward). Mohan ji travels so much that there isn’t a single day he has rested. He constantly tries to bring funds from Delhi for the state’s schemes. He has held investor summits in the state, country, and abroad to provide employment to the youth. He is available on the phone. I am telling my own experience: if I ever leave a missed call on his mobile, a call back comes. There are few leaders who keep their mobile with them and, if they can’t attend a call, call back later. Narottam: It’s absolutely not like that; no one would have been found wandering. Everyone integrated well. The rest takes a little time. And millions were bound to join when we targeted the booths. Joinings took place simultaneously at 64 thousand polling stations in one day. From former Union Ministers to former ministers, current MLAs, and former MLAs, everyone came in large numbers. And everyone saw the result; the Prime Minister’s aura and Mohan ji’s hard work were certainly there, but the New Joining Team made a significant contribution in creating the atmosphere. Narottam: I express my wish that I never floated my name and always denied that I want work, not a position. How much more will the party give? If it keeps me as an MLA for 30 years and a minister for 15 years, what more will it give? The party has continuously given me work. After losing the assembly elections, I was made the convener of the New Joining Team. After that, I was sent for the Maharashtra elections. Then I was sent for the Delhi elections. The party is continuously giving me work. Narottam: I absolutely do not believe that a position is necessary for advancement. In reality, if you have talent, everyone accepts and embraces you. Sometimes politics is also situation-driven, but I believe that a position is not needed to progress. Bhaskar: The opposition raises the question that your party’s national president cannot be elected? Narottam: The election process is continuously underway here. The president’s election just happened in Gujarat. The opposition raises questions because, for example, in the Congress party, the brother, sister, and mother all have to sit together and decide. It’s a party of three people; all three have to decide in Congress. In SP, the husband and wife will sit and decide who will become the president. In RJD, Shiv Sena, father–son have to decide. We have an organization of crores of workers. In BJP, who will become after Nadda ji, you and I cannot tell. It is a matter of pride for all of us that an ordinary worker comes and becomes [a leader]. In this, workers have many opportunities to fly high. These are in BJP, other parties are not parties but families. Narottam: Absolutely not, there is no question of a post. There is a desire to work. That will continue. Narottam: The BJP alliance government will be formed. People have seen Lalu’s rule. They had come in between, just like Kamal Nath had come here for 15 months, had they come in Bihar like that? Narottam: The government was destined to fall the day it was formed. The way Digvijaya Singh formed Kamal Nath’s cabinet, first-time MLAs became cabinet ministers. In the cabinet formed for the sake of his son, nephew, and sister’s son, MLAs who had won six and four times were left out of the cabinet. On that very day, Digvijaya Singh laid the foundation stone for the fall of the government. After that, Digvijaya Singh ran it unofficially from behind the scenes. That was the first government whose ministers were saying that the sand mafia and liquor mafia had the patronage of Digvijay Singh. Ministers used to say that work would only get done if you brought an envelope. When such a situation arises for any government, its downfall becomes certain. The Chief Minister kept saying ‘let’s go, let’s go’ all day long. No one was listening to the MLAs anywhere. It had become officer rule. Then later, Digvijay Singh blamed Kamal Nath, and Kamal Nath blamed Digvijay Singh. So the government was going to fall under its own weight anyway. Narottam: Who has been the Home Minister in UP for ten years? The Chief Minister of UP is also the Home Minister. UP has double the Lok Sabha seats and population of MP. When it can work there, why can’t it work here? Who is the Home Minister in Maharashtra? This is the Chief Minister’s privilege. He gives whichever department he wants to give to whom and when. Narottam: What’s the problem with meeting the Chief Minister? He is reaching every district. There is no district left where he hasn’t reached; now, he is even reaching villages. Bhaskar: Jitu Patwari raised an issue that MP made GST on beef zero? Narottam: MP doesn’t impose GST; the central government imposes and removes it. This must be his thinking on how it was done. But, these are central government subjects; the center alone removes and imposes GST. Narottam: It’s not for me to say, but the way Congress people are raising questions about factionalism. Two days ago, Arun Yadav’s letter came, and before that, Kamleshwar Patel raised questions. Questions are being raised on the in-charge, questions are being raised on the president. This is Congress’s internal strife, it will not let Jitu Patwari work. The fate that befell Digvijaya Singh’s son when he was brought in as district president, he used to dream of leading as the state president. They will not let Jitu Patwari remain stable. And they won’t know where the attack is coming from. Just like heart attacks, BP (blood pressure) are called silent killers. This Digvijaya Singh is also a silent killer. As long as Digvijaya Singh is there, even thinking about Congress forming a government in MP is useless. Narottam: I want to work. Not a position, I want work. The party has given many positions. If someone is an MLA for 30 years and a minister for 15 years, it is enough; others should be given an opportunity. The coming generation should be given an opportunity. It should start like this.
