Indian stock markets extend gains for 5th straight day:Sensex rises over 250 points to 82,180; Nifty holds above 25,000 levels

On the third trading day of the week on Wednesday, October 08, 2025, the Sensex is trading 300 points higher at 82,250. The Nifty is also up 80 points, trading at 25,180. 19 out of 30 Sensex stocks buoyant: Titan is up about 4%. Infosys and TCS are also up by up to 2%. 11 stocks including Tata Motors and BEL are down. 29 out of 50 Nifty stocks down: NSE’s IT, Pharma, Banking and Healthcare sectors are up. FMCG and Realty indices are down. In other Asian markets, trading was mixed Bajaj Finserv Changes Insurance Companies’ Names Financial services group Bajaj Finserv has renamed its insurance companies to Bajaj General Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance. With this, Bajaj Group’s ownership in these ventures has increased from 74% to 100%. Along with this, Bajaj Group has made its insurance business ‘100% Bajaj’. FIIs turn net buyers Second day of LG Electronics IPO today South Korean company LG’s Indian unit, LG Electronics India Limited’s IPO is open from 07 October. In this issue, the company’s existing investors are selling 10.18 crore shares, valued at ₹15,000 crore. Last day of Tata Capital’s IPO today Tata Group’s financial services arm Tata Capital’s IPO is open from Monday (06 October). The company’s issue will remain open for public subscription till today i.e. 08 October. Through the IPO, Tata Capital plans to raise ₹15,512 crore. ​
