Ankit Kumar Jain, a 2023 IAS officer, has been transferred from Tamil Nadu to Madhya Pradesh Cadre due to his marriage with MP Cadre’s IPS Ms.Sonakshi Saxena the Daughter of Former DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena. Son of Rajasthan’s small village of Bundi’s Zarkhoda Mr Ankit Kumar Jain is a 2023 batch officer who secured 173rd rank in the UPSC 2022 examination.Cadre transfer: His transfer from Tamil Nadu to Madhya Pradesh was approved in October 2025 on grounds of his marriage to IAS officer Sonakshi Saxena.Previous postings: Before his cadre change, he served in Tamil Nadu as an Assistant Collector and Sub Divisional Magistrate. He had previously been an Assistant Secretary for the Ministry of Finance.Education and early career: A chemical engineer by profession, he worked at Wonder Cement Ltd. before joining the civil services.
