Grand Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial-cum-Museum to Be Dedicated to the People Soon

Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur — The memorial-cum-museum being constructed in the premises of the Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI) to commemorate the tribal freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh will soon be dedicated to the public.
On the occasion of the Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s first digital museum.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the under-construction site to review the preparations for the inauguration and gave necessary directions to officials.


Silver Jubilee Celebration of Chhattisgarh

It is noteworthy that the state government is celebrating the 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) of the formation of Chhattisgarh this year.
During the inspection of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial-cum-Museum in Nava Raipur, the Chief Minister said that audio-visual arrangements should be made in the museum so that visitors and tourists can properly understand the historical background of the freedom fighters.


Chief Minister’s Remarks

Chief Minister Sai said that this project is a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision. Soon, a symbol of the glorious tribal history, valor, and sacrifice will become a living reality in Chhattisgarh.
He emphasized that this museum will remind future generations for centuries of the heroic legacy of their ancestors.
He added that the museum will be an inspiration not only for the tribal communities but also for people across the nation and abroad.

Through this living museum, the Chief Minister said, people will be inspired with the courage to rise against injustice and oppression from even the strongest powers.
He highlighted that, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, this will be Chhattisgarh’s first museum dedicated entirely to the bravery and sacrifices of tribal freedom fighters.


Review of Preparations

In view of the upcoming State Foundation Day and the proposed inauguration by the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister directed that all necessary preparations and construction works be completed on time.
He reviewed various aspects including digitalization work, parking facilities, souvenir shop, gardening, and water supply.

Principal Secretary Shri Sonmani Bora briefed the Chief Minister about the 14 galleries under construction, including sections on Jhanda Satyagraha (Flag Movement), Jungle Satyagraha (Forest Movement), and various tribal cultures.

During the inspection, several dignitaries were present —
Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Chief Secretary Shri Vikassheel, Principal Secretary to CM Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary to CM Shri Rahul Bhagat, Raipur Division Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kavre, Commissioner of Tribal Welfare Department Dr. Saransh Mittar, Joint Secretary to CM and Commissioner of Public Relations Dr. Ravi Mittal, Collector Shri Gaurav Singh, SSP Dr. Lal Umed Singh, and TRTI Director Smt. Hina Animesh Netam, along with other senior departmental officers.


Museum Built with VFX Technology and Projection Work

The museum is being developed using VFX technology and advanced projection work, based on detailed historical research and study of the tribal freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh.
Visitors will find digital boards next to each statue narrating stories of the tribal uprisings, allowing them to experience history in an immersive and interactive way.
Each gallery will feature QR scanners, enabling visitors to scan and access additional information directly on their mobile phones.


16 Thematic Galleries Depicting Tribal Uprisings

The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum will vividly depict the struggles and bravery of tribal heroes from various uprisings during India’s freedom movement, including:

A total of 16 galleries are being built — 14 dedicated to the various tribal uprisings and two separate galleries specifically for the Jhanda Satyagraha and Jungle Satyagraha.
