The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the list of its star campaigners for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have been included among the top campaigners. The Bihar Assembly elections will be conducted in two phases — on November 6 and November 11, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14. Congress fields Digvijaya Singh and Jitu Patwari from Madhya Pradesh The Congress party has also released its list of star campaigners for the first phase of the Bihar polls. From Madhya Pradesh, only former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh and state Congress president Jitu Patwari have been included in the list of campaigners who will campaign across constituencies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Giriraj Singh, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states such as Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam), Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra), Rekha Gupta (Delhi), and Mohan Yadav (Madhya Pradesh) will also campaign for the party’s candidates in Bihar. Interestingly, several Bhojpuri film stars have been named in the BJP list, including Pawan Singh, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, who have a strong local fan base and influence in Bihar’s cultural belt. Additionally, leaders such as Raj Bhushan Chaudhary, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nand Kishore Yadav, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Sanjay Jaiswal, Vinod Tawde, Babulal Marandi, Pradeep Kumar Singh, Gopalji Thakur, and Janak Ram are also part of the campaign team who will tour Bihar in support of BJP candidates. Congress names senior leaders in its campaign list The Congress party’s list of star campaigners features several national and regional heavyweights. Among them are Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot, and K.C. Venugopal. Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijaya Singh, and senior leaders such as Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Meira Kumar, Krishna Allavaru, Sukhvinder Sukhu, Sachin Pilot, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Syed Nasir Hussain, Charanjit Singh Channi, Gaurav Gogoi, Tariq Anwar, Mohammad Javed, and Akhilesh Prasad Singh have also been included. Bihar set for NDA vs Mahagathbandhan contest Bihar is witnessing a direct contest between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) led by Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Under the NDA seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP and Janata Dal (United) will contest 101 seats each, while Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest 29 seats, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha) will field candidates on 6 seats each. The BJP has already announced candidates for all 101 of its allocated constituencies.
