Unity in Diversity is India’s True Strength: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai

On the occasion of National Unity Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at his statue located in Devendra Nagar, Raipur. The Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel was not only a freedom fighter but also a visionary leader who unified the nation by integrating the princely states through his unwavering courage and determination, thus laying the foundation of a united India.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai participated in the “Run for Unity” held from Shastri Chowk to Sharda Chowk in the capital city, Raipur, along with school students, public representatives, and citizens, conveying the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India).

The Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel is remembered as the “Iron Man of India” because of his foresight and remarkable leadership. His efforts to unite the nation will continue to inspire generations to come. He added that, following the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, “Run for Unity” events are being organized across the country today, symbolizing national unity and integrity.

Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that India is a land full of diversity, and the spirit of unity in diversity is our greatest strength. He praised the enthusiasm and discipline of all participants in the program, stating that their energy reflects both their reverence for Sardar Patel and their dedication to the nation.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister urged everyone to take a pledge to realize the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and administered the oath of national unity.

Union Minister Shri Jual Oram, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLAs Shri Kiran Dev and Shri Purandar Mishra, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Iron Handicraft Development Board Shri Praful Vishwakarma, along with a large number of students, public representatives, and dignitaries, were present at the event.
