Youth of Chhattisgarh Shaping the Technological Future Through Innovation – Chief Minister Felicitates Ideathon Winners

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the “Chhattisgarh Tech Start 2025” program held at the Mayfair Hotel, Nava Raipur today. Addressing the gathering, he said that the Tech Start initiative is a major step towards promoting innovation and technological entrepreneurship in the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated the winners of Ideathon 2025 and handed over Partnership Exchange agreements to organizations collaborating with the Government of Chhattisgarh. He also extended his greetings to all the experts, entrepreneurs, and dignitaries present on the occasion on the state’s Silver Jubilee Year.

Chhattisgarh – The Emerging Hub of Technology and Innovation

Chief Minister Sai said that India’s visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always inspired the nation to set ambitious goals and achieve them. Inspired by his vision of a “Developed India”, the state government has set a goal of achieving a “Developed Chhattisgarh by 2047”, for which a Vision Document has been prepared.

He noted that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, thousands of startups are operating across India today, many of which have grown into unicorns. The Chief Minister reiterated that the Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to nurturing youth entrepreneurship and providing all necessary support to startups.

Inspiring Youth and Encouraging Innovation

Chief Minister Sai highlighted the extraordinary potential of Chhattisgarh’s youth to excel even in challenging circumstances. He cited examples such as Ms. Akanksha Satyavanshi, who serves as the physiotherapist for the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, and Squadron Leader Gaurav Patel, who represented the state by flying fighter aircraft during the Nava Raipur Aero Show.

He informed that the state government has implemented over 350 reforms to strengthen Ease of Doing Business and the Single Window System, positioning Chhattisgarh among the most investment-friendly states in India. Alongside industrial development, the state is witnessing rapid progress in the IT and ITeS sectors.

Ideathon 2025: Empowering Innovative Ideas

Speaking about Ideathon 2025, the Chief Minister said that more than 1,800 startup ideas were received from across the state, with remarkable participation from youth in remote regions. The government will provide these innovators with platforms, mentorship, and financial assistance.

He added that efforts are underway to make Raipur a hub of IT and technology services, with major projects like an AI Data Centre Park and a Semiconductor Plant moving toward realization. Expressing satisfaction, the Chief Minister mentioned that the state has received investment proposals exceeding ₹7.5 lakh crore, reflecting the rising industrial activity and growing employment opportunities in Chhattisgarh.

Encouraging entrepreneurs, he said:
“The Government of Chhattisgarh stands firmly with you. Take your hard work and innovation to the global level — your success will be the pride of Chhattisgarh.”

Policy Support and Vision 2047

Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Shil said that the New Industrial Policy 2024 aims to promote entrepreneurship and align with the vision of Developed Chhattisgarh by 2047. The policy places special emphasis on innovation, investment, employment, and startup growth.

He also highlighted the importance of emerging sectors such as E-waste Management, Rising Technologies, and Skill Development, encouraging entrepreneurs to share their insights and collaborate with the government.

“The government is committed to making Chhattisgarh a hub of technological and industrial development in partnership with youth and entrepreneurs,” he said, emphasizing the need for continuous dialogue between industry and the administration.

Chief Minister Felicitates Ideathon 2025 Winners

During the event, Chief Minister Sai honored the winners of Ideathon 2025 and lauded the creativity and innovative thinking of the young participants. He remarked that when youth engage in innovation, it strengthens the foundation of the state’s technological future.

Adarsh Verma received the First Prize for his idea of a Smart Band for Persons with Disabilities.
Jagruti and Narendra Sharma won the Second Prize for developing the “Atal Kavach Tree Guard” for roadside plant protection.
Atharva Dubey received the Third Prize for his Smart Safety Helmet innovation.
Nipun Verma and Anushka Sonkar were also recognized for their creative ideas.

The Chief Minister also felicitated Karan Chandrakar for his Agrofeb Sustainable Startup, Sajal Malhotra for Vertex Suite, and Amit Patel for Lairk AI.
Additionally, NIT Raipur, Rungta Business Incubator, and IGKV Raipur were awarded for their excellence as incubation centers.

Partnerships and Technological Exhibitions

Chief Minister Sai also distributed Partnership Exchange Agreements between the Government of Chhattisgarh and organizations including MeitY Startup Hub, National Innovation Foundation, Wadhwani Foundation, NASSCOM Foundation, Startup Middle East, and Carve Startup Lab.

During the event, the Chief Minister visited AI-based innovation stalls, interacted with startup teams, and examined their models, software applications, and technological solutions. He appreciated their entrepreneurial and research capabilities, encouraging them to continue developing globally competitive technologies.

“I congratulate all the young innovators and urge them to continue making Chhattisgarh proud in the world of technology,” he said.
