Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the fourth day of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav celebrations held at Nawa Raipur this evening as the Chief Guest. Addressing the grand event, he said that in its 25 years since formation, Chhattisgarh has written a new saga of progress, achieving remarkable milestones across all sectors.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi graced the state’s foundation day on November 1 by inaugurating the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building and launching development projects worth over ₹14,000 crore. “On behalf of three crore citizens of Chhattisgarh, I extend heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for his invaluable support and blessings,” he said.

Recalling the contribution of former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the creation of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said that his farsighted decision liberated the region from years of neglect. “Atal ji’s vision gave new momentum to Chhattisgarh’s growth. Through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, paved roads reached villages across the state, opening doors to rural development. Education, healthcare, and infrastructure witnessed rapid advancement,” he added.

Chief Minister Sai further said that in the past 22 months, his government has fulfilled most of the major commitments under ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’. “We are committed to establishing a clean, sensitive, and transparent administration. To achieve this, we have formed the Department of Good Governance and Convergence,” he said.

Minister of Forest and Climate Change Shri Kedar Kashyap, in his address, said that before state formation, remote forest regions of Bastar and Surguja suffered from neglect and lack of basic facilities such as health, education, and infrastructure, which led to the rise of Naxal violence. “Recognizing this pain, Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee created Chhattisgarh as a separate state, setting it firmly on the path of development,” he said.

Secretary of Culture and Tourism Department Dr. Rohit Yadav extended greetings and best wishes to all citizens on the completion of 25 glorious years of statehood.
