A video from Gijorra police station area, Dabra, Madhya Pradesh, shows two youths stripped naked and brutally beaten with belts, reportedly over a power struggle for a sand mine. The video, around two months old, has recently surfaced. In the video, a person is also heard saying, ‘You used to consider Pappu a goon, now tell me who is the goon.’ Battle for dominance over sand mines It is worth noting that the Gijorra region of Dabra subdivision is known for illegal sand mining and transportation. There are several mines here like Hathnora, Sili, Barkari, and Jignia, which fall under the Barkari and Jignia forest areas. These mines are operated by local influential people, due to which the battle for dominance is common here. Assaults happened many times before Gwalior SP Dharmveer Yadav has stated that the video will be investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
