Delhi Police are searching for Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, founder-chairman of Al Falah University and director of Al Falah Charitable Trust, in connection with the Delhi blast case. Siddiqui, a native of Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, is linked to main accused Dr. Umar Nabi, who taught at the university. A Delhi Police team is reaching Mhow today to search his family home in Kayastha Mohalla and question relatives and neighbours. During the investigation, it was found that Jawad first started a business in Mhow under the name Al Falah Investment Company. He enticed people to invest by promising profits. Then, after financial irregularities in 2001, he fled to Delhi with his family. Later, he started Al Falah University in Faridabad. Background and education Jawad Siddiqui’s family lived in Kayastha Mohalla, Mhow, about 25 years ago. His two brothers studied locally, and his father, Mohammad Hammad Siddiqui, served as Mhow’s City Qazi. His step-brother Afam was jailed in a murder case. Jawad completed B.Tech from GSITS, Indore, and studied till 11th grade at Rajeshwar Vidyalaya, Mhow. He appeared thrice for the Civil Services interview but was not selected. Jawad’s accountant has several cases against him Investigation revealed that Jawad’s accountant, Khaliq Bauji, pursued quick wealth by first setting up a bone crusher plant, then Golden Public School, a showroom in Indore, and Al Hilal Investment Company in Navneet Tower. Around 1990, Chhota Rajan was reportedly hired to kill him and kidnapped him, but police later rescued him. Khaliq faced multiple criminal charges, served jail time, and now lives in a secret location near Mandleshwar. Colleges and hospital overview Al Falah University runs three colleges: Al Falah School of Engineering and Technology, Brown Hill College of Engineering and Technology, and Al Falah School of Education and Training. Mhow’s Additional SP Rupesh Dwivedi said, The old records of Jawad and his family have started to be investigated. Jawad’s family lived in Kayastha Mohalla, Mhow, about 25 years ago. His two brothers also studied here. His father, Mohammad Hammad Siddiqui, has served as the city Qazi of Mhow. His step-brother Afam has been jailed in a murder case. Javad’s four-story house in Mhow has more than 25 windows. There is also a large basement. Built in the 90s, this house is known locally as Maulana’s Building. The house is in the name of Javad’s father, Hammad, who passed away in 1995. Indore Collector Shivam Verma said that whoever is involved in this incident will not be spared. Investigating agencies are doing their work. Police administration is on alert mode. ​
