Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has saluted the indomitable courage of the security forces for the successful operation conducted on the Chhattisgarh–Andhra Pradesh border, in which top Naxal leader and Central Committee (CC) member Madvi Hidma along with six other Naxalites were neutralised. He said, “This incident is a decisive achievement in the fight against Naxalism.”

The Chief Minister said that the neutralisation of top Naxal leader and CC member Madvi Hidma along with six Naxalites in the successful border operation is a major milestone in the fight against Naxalism. He bowed to the bravery and courage of the security personnel for this remarkable achievement.

He added that Hidma had been the face of bloodshed, violence, and terror in Bastar for years. His end is not merely an operational success but a significant blow to the red terror, further strengthening the state’s resolve to establish lasting peace in the region.

The Chief Minister said that in recent months, the surrender of hundreds of Naxalites, the arrest of top cadres, and continuous successful operations clearly indicate that Naxalism is now breathing its last.

He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the good governance-focused state government is ushering in a new era of peace, trust, and development in Bastar. Initiatives like Niyad Nellanar, rehabilitation policies for surrendered Naxalites, and the establishment of new security camps have strengthened public confidence and infused new hope in every village of Bastar.

The Chief Minister expressed full confidence that with the joint strategy of the Centre and the State, India will become completely free from Naxalism by March 2026.
