Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh today unveiled the prestigious FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 trophy at the Assembly premises. Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, State Cabinet Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw were also present at the event. Notably, the glittering trophy of the world-renowned FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 arrived in Chhattisgarh today for the first time under the India Tour and was unveiled at a grand ceremony held in the Assembly premises. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that hosting the FIH Junior World Cup 2025 in India is a matter of immense pride, and the arrival of the trophy in Chhattisgarh is a moment of special honor for the state. Expressing gratitude to Hockey India, he said that the Trophy Tour is an important effort to promote enthusiasm and inspiration for sports across the country. He added that the initiative launched by Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will infuse new energy into the sports spirit of the nation. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has always been a fertile land for hockey. A large number of children from districts like Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Jashpur, Surguja, Raipur, Bilaspur, and Korba are shaping their future in hockey. The arrival of the trophy will be highly inspiring for the young athletes of the state. He further said that the state government is committed to expanding sports infrastructure, strengthening training facilities, and encouraging emerging talent. Shri Sai stated that this trophy symbolizes the hard work, discipline, and dreams of the world’s best players. He also extended congratulations and best wishes to Hockey India, the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, and Chhattisgarh Hockey. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh congratulated the office-bearers and players of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association and Chhattisgarh Hockey for the grand unveiling of the trophy. General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Vikram Sisodia, other officials of the association, representatives of hockey organizations, and a large number of players were present. ‘India to Host the Junior World Cup for the First Time’ It is noteworthy that India is hosting the FIH Hockey Junior Men’s World Cup 2025 for the first time. The tournament will be held from November 28 to December 10 in Chennai and Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
