Class 11 student ends life after alleged teacher harassment:Suicide note claims teacher held her hand, beat her, and behaved inappropriately under pretext of punishment

A Class 11 student died by suicide in Rewa after allegedly facing persistent harassment from a school teacher. Police recovered her mobile phone and a suicide note from the spot on Thursday, in which she levelled serious allegations against the teacher. Suicide note mentions repeated harassment by teacher In the handwritten note, the student described disturbing behaviour by her school teacher. She wrote: Whenever the teacher hit me… he would hold my hand. He would close his fist and challenge me to open it. Standing on the bench, he held my hand and said, ‘Look how cold my hand is.’ Sometimes, under the pretext of punishment, he would place a pen between my fingers and press hard. What is all this? The note has caused widespread anger among her family and the local community. Family says, ‘She was harassed at school, not at home’ The student’s grandfather and father said she had no issues at home, where she was loved dearly. “She was everyone’s favourite. There was no problem at home. Her trouble and the reason for her death are linked to the school. Someone was torturing her there, and she was forced to take this step,” the grandfather said. Sister mentions classmate, police say no evidence yet The girl’s elder sister reportedly told the police about a minor boy from her class with whom the victim used to talk. However, initial investigation has not revealed anything that implicates the boy. According to police, their interaction appeared to be no more than a normal friendship. Police: Letter recovered, cause of suicide under investigation Station House Officer (SHO) Vikas Kapis confirmed the recovery of the suicide note. “We have found a letter, but we have not yet reached a conclusive reason behind the suicide. The note mentions a teacher and describes unusual behaviour. We can comment further only after the investigation,” he said. Police are examining the suicide note through forensic experts and analysing her mobile data. Outrage among villagers, demand for strict action Following the incident, villagers and family members gathered to demand immediate and strict action against the concerned teacher and the school administration. The investigation is ongoing, and police assure that all angles are being examined thoroughly. ​
