Gold and silver prices saw a big surge this week. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of gold was ₹1,23,146 on November 21, which has now (November 28) increased by ₹3,445 to reach ₹1,26,591. On October 17, gold had reached ₹1,30,874 per 10 grams, which is its highest price. Silver also saw a big rise this week. On the last trading day of last week (November 21), the price of 1 kilogram of silver was ₹1,51,129, which increased by ₹13,230 to reach ₹1,64,359 per kilo by the last trading day of this week i.e. November 28. Earlier on October 14, silver had reached ₹1,78,100, which is its highest price. This year gold became costlier by ₹50,429 and silver by ₹78,342 Keep these 2 things in mind while buying gold Buy Only Certified Gold: Always buy certified gold with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark. This number can be alphanumeric like AZ4524. Hallmarking indicates how many carats the gold is. Gold rates vary according to 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat. ​
