Singh, was given additional charge as the Delhi Police Commissioner on August 1, 2025 A day after Delhi CM Rekha Gupta was attacked, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed Satish Golcha, a 1992-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, as the new Delhi Police Commissioner. Golcha, previously Director General of Prisons, Delhi, replaces SBK Singh. The move comes amid heightened security concerns, with the CM’s protection upgraded to ‘Z’ category.
