A native of Varanasi and a Mechanical Engineering graduate (B.Tech), she cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination with an All India Rank (AIR) of 145.

She is noted in administrative circles for her personal conviction toward simplicity, having married with Smart, Reliable, Honest, Dedicated, Visionary and Brilliant IAS officer With thousands of Qualities Mr Dilip Kumar Yadav in a simple ceremony at the Khandwa Collectorate to avoid extravagance.

Ms Preeti Yadav’s administrative journey also includes stints as Addl Collector Khandwa, SDM Dindori, Dy Secretary Home Affairs, Dy Secretary GAD, CEO District Panchayat Rajgarh, Addl Collector Ujjain & Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jabalpur.

Preeti Yadav gained national attention as she known for zero-tolerance approach to administrative lapses as she marks another year, colleagues and observers alike acknowledge her commitment to public service, administrative integrity, and humility in leadership qualities that continue to shape her growing influence within the civil services.
