Grand and Historic Conclusion of the First National Rover–Ranger Jamboree at Village Dudhli in Balod

Scouting is a way of life that teaches individuals to become self-reliant even in difficult situations, work with team spirit, and remain dedicated to society. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated this while addressing the grand closing ceremony of the First National Rover–Ranger Jamboree held at village Dudhli in Balod district, where he was present as the chief guest.

The Chief Minister warmly welcomed Rover–Rangers and Scout–Guides who had arrived from different states of the country to Chhattisgarh, the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram and the land of penance of Mata Shabari, and wished them a bright future. He said that this Jamboree is not merely an event, but a living celebration of unity in India’s diversity.

National Jamboree Reflects the Spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that hosting a national-level Rover–Ranger Jamboree of this scale for the first time in the country, and Chhattisgarh being selected for it, is a matter of pride for the entire state. He said that the event truly reflects the spirit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” Rover–Rangers from various states showcased India’s rich diversity effectively through cultural performances, tableaux, and activities.

Youth Are the Future of the Nation; Scouting Builds Leadership

Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that young people are the future of the state and the nation. Referring to Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring words, “Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is achieved,” he urged the youth to move forward with confidence and determination.

He said that values such as discipline, service, leadership, and teamwork taught by the Scout–Guide organization prepare youth for nation-building. Appreciating the services rendered by Scout–Guides during the COVID period, the Chief Minister said they played an important role in keeping society aware and safe. On this occasion, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Child Marriage Free India Campaign,” the Chief Minister also administered a pledge to the youth present.

Historic Jamboree with Participation of More Than 15,000 Rover–Rangers

More than 15,000 Rover–Rangers from across the country and abroad participated in this five-day Jamboree held from January 9 to January 13. During the closing ceremony, cultural programs presented by participants from different parts of the country filled the entire atmosphere with Indian art, culture, and harmony. The massive public participation made the event historic.

School Education Minister and State President of Scouts and Guides Shri Gajendra Yadav said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the national Jamboree was successfully organized. He informed that events such as Youth Parliament, skill demonstrations, cultural exchange, and a tribal ethnic fashion show provided new perspectives and platforms for the youth.

On this occasion, Shri Yadav was honored with the Silver Elephant Award by National Chief Commissioner Dr. K. K. Khandelwal.

A Better India Will Be Built Through Service, Dedication, and Participation

National Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Dr. K. K. Khandelwal said that the core principle of scouting is “to do good to others through one’s actions.” He stated that a balance between tradition and modernity, along with a spirit of service, lays the foundation for a strong and developed nation.

On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Seed Corporation Shri Chandrhas Chandrakar, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board Shri Bharat Matiyara, along with other distinguished citizens and public representatives, were present.
