Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today performed the foundation-laying and inauguration of 103 development works worth Rs 233 crore at the Nagar Panchayat headquarters Gundardehi in Balod district. This included foundation-laying of 61 works worth Rs 163.88 crore and inauguration of 42 works worth Rs 69.82 crore. The Chief Minister also announced Rs 1 crore for the construction of a fully equipped community building in Gundardehi and Rs 1 crore for development works in each ward. The Chief Minister said that the development works inaugurated and initiated today are not just buildings, but gateways to new opportunities. He stated that the commercial complex being built at a cost of Rs 1 crore will provide youth with new opportunities for self-employment and business, while the construction of roads, bridges, and infrastructure will ease transportation and accelerate economic activities. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central and state governments are working with commitment toward inclusive development for every section of society. Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women are receiving economic support; tendu leaf collectors are being given the highest minimum support price; and the Charan Paduka Yojana has been restarted to provide relief to tribal workers. Value addition of forest produce is also promoting local employment generation. He said that the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana is connecting the general public with the country’s culture and heritage. Due to an effective rehabilitation policy, peace is returning to Naxal-affected areas and a new light of development is spreading in the Bastar region. Basic facilities such as roads, health, education, and communication are expanding rapidly. The Chief Minister further said that National Youth Day is being observed today on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. The thoughts of Swami Vivekananda continue to inspire youth toward self-confidence, national service, and self-reliance. He said that Chhattisgarh is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year, and on this occasion, the construction of a Digital Tribal Museum in Raipur is a special gift from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, where the glorious stories of tribal heroes have been preserved. The Chief Minister stated that the state government is fully committed to taking Chhattisgarh to new heights of development. On this occasion, Member of Parliament Shri Bhojraj Nag said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving toward new heights of development. He said that Bastar, once known for left-wing extremism, is now moving on the path of peace, progress, and prosperity, which will directly benefit the common citizens. During the program, local traders welcomed the Chief Minister by ceremonially weighing him with laddus. He also distributed materials and certificates to eligible beneficiaries under various departmental schemes. Collector Ms. Divya Umesh Mishra presented the district’s progress report, while Nagar Panchayat President Shri Pramod Jain, in his welcome address, shared information about the city’s development needs.
