The Madhya Pradesh Police has secured a major national recognition by winning three prestigious honours at the SKOCH Summit 2026 held at the India Habitat Centre on 28 March. The achievement reflects the leadership of Director General of Police Kailash Makwana and the department’s coordinated efforts in public awareness, digital governance and cybercrime control.

The “Nasha Se Doori Hai Zaroori” campaign was recognised for mobilising mass awareness against substance abuse, reaching over 2.2 million citizens through more than 15,000 programmes. Additional Director General of Police (Narcotics) Mr D Srinivas Varma received the award.

The “eSummon/Warrant Module” was honoured for digitising judicial processes, significantly reducing delays and enhancing transparency. Madhya Pradesh is the first state to implement the system, with over 2.8 million electronic summons issued. The award was received by ADG Mr Harinayanchari Mishra.

Additionally, the Bhopal Police Commissionerate was recognised for excellence in cybercrime prevention, with notable reductions in fraud cases and improved recovery rates. Additional Commissioner Shailendra Singh Chauhan accepted the honour
