Mahesh Aggarwal 1994 Batch IPS Officer Takes Charge as Tamil Nadu DGP

Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal Appointed as the New Director General of Police (DGP) of Tamil Nadu. A 1994-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Aggarwal brings with him vast policing and security experience gathered over decades of distinguished service. Before returning to the state, he was serving in the Border Security Force as Special Director General (Human Rights) and was also entrusted with additional responsibility of the BSF Eastern Command in Kolkata. He takes over from Sandeep Rai Rathore, marking a new chapter in Tamil Nadu’s policing and internal security administration.
